Compliance Manager / Compliance Director – Crypto

About the Role We are a fast-growing crypto card fintech company seeking an experienced Compliance Manager / Compliance Director to build and maintain our compliance framework, ensuring our operations meet regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance • Lead licensing applications, maintenance, and renewals across key markets including Hong Kong, Singapore, and the EU • Monitor and interpret regulatory developments relating to crypto assets, prepaid cards, and e-money, updating internal policies accordingly AML/KYC • Design and optimize AML/KYC/CTF policies and procedures in line with FATF standards and local regulatory requirements • Oversee the transaction monitoring system (TMS) and review and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) where required Card Scheme & Partner Compliance • Manage compliance relationships with card schemes such as Visa and Mastercard, ensuring adherence to program requirements and audit standards • Review compliance clauses and conduct due diligence on banking partners, payment processors, and custodians Internal Governance • Develop and deliver compliance training programs to build a company-wide compliance culture • Report compliance risks to the Board and senior management, and provide compliance input on major business decisions • Lead responses to regulatory inspections and internal/external audits Requirements • 5+ years of compliance experience, with at least 2 years in crypto, payments, or fintech • Familiarity with Hong Kong VASP/MSO frameworks, MAS requirements, or EU EMD2/MiCA regulations is a strong advantage • Hands-on AML/KYC experience with working knowledge of transaction monitoring systems • Experience with Visa/Mastercard scheme compliance or BIN sponsorship arrangements is a plus • Professional certifications such as ICA, CAMS, or CRCM preferred • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese What We Offer • Competitive salary and equity package • A pivotal role in a high-growth Web3 payments company • Flexible working arrangements and an international team culture
