As the client rapidly expands their global footprint across, we are looking for a visionary product leader to scale our next-generation payments, web3 wallets, and card-issuing ecosystem. **Position Summary** As the **Head of Crypto Payments & Cards Product** , you will lead the strategic vision, design, and execution of our regional payment product roadmap. This role is a unique hybrid of traditional fintech infrastructure and cutting-edge web3 technology. You will be responsible for leading and scaling a regional team of ~10 product managers and specialists, tasked with building highly scalable payment experiences across fiat, stablecoins, cryptocurrencies, self-custodial/hosted wallets, card issuing, merchant payments, and embedded finance. The ideal candidate possesses deep foundational expertise in the traditional payment processing and card-issuing ecosystem, coupled with a passion for digital assets. **Core Responsibilities** - **Product Vision & Strategy:** Own the end-to-end product lifecycle and strategic roadmap for our regional payments, cards, and merchant ecosystem across APAC, prioritizing high-impact features that balance user friction against localized regulatory frameworks. - **Team Leadership:** Manage, mentor, and scale a high-performing regional team of 10 Product Managers and Specialists. Cultivate an agile culture focused on rigorous delivery, customer-centric design, and continuous learning. - **Card Issuing & Infrastructure:** Direct the design, launch, and optimization of virtual and physical card programs. Deeply engage with payment rails, issuing processors, card schemes (Visa/Mastercard/UnionPay), and Bin Sponsors to drive down transaction costs and maximize approval rates. - **Hybrid Payments Ecosystem:** Build out robust, low-latency infrastructure connecting fiat-to-crypto off-ramps/on-ramps, real-time stablecoin settlement systems, digital wallets, and merchant acquiring solutions. - **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner closely with Engineering, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Commercial teams to ensure products are secure, resilient, and fully compliant with regional frameworks (such as Hong Kong's HKMA/SFC guidelines). - **Strategic Partnerships:** Identify, negotiate, and manage high-value technical integrations with global and regional banking partners, third-party payment gateways, and institutional custodians. **Key Requirements** - **Proven Leadership:** At least 8 to 10+ years of product management experience within fintech, digital banking, or payments, with a minimum of 3+ years explicitly leading and scaling product teams. - **Deep Payments Domain Expertise:** An absolute, deep-rooted understanding of the traditional payments and card-issuing ecosystem (e.g., clearing and settlement rails, card schemes, payment gateway architecture, merchant acquiring, tokenization, and embedded finance). - **Crypto/Web3 Familiarity:** Experience within the cryptocurrency, digital asset, or blockchain space is a strong advantage. At a minimum, you must possess a strong structural grasp of stablecoin mechanics, digital wallets, and decentralized finance (DeFi) principles. - **Execution Power:** A track record of taking complex, high-volume payment products or credit/debit card programs from concept to successful regional or global launch. - **Local Insight:** Strong familiarity with the Hong Kong and broader APAC regulatory landscape regarding payments, stored value facilities (SVF), and virtual assets. - **Communication Skills:** Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to articulate complex financial architectures to engineering teams and strategic product vision to executive leadership.
