The mission: bridge traditional finance with the emerging digital asset ecosystem while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance, innovation, and trust. **The Role** As Legal Counsel - Crypto Products, you will operate directly at the intersection of law, product development, and financial infrastructure. Rather than acting as a traditional legal gatekeeper, you will embed yourself in the product lifecycle from day one: working alongside Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to design legally sound digital asset products before they reach the market. You will assess regulatory implications, structure contractual frameworks, and define the legal guardrails for new offerings across custody, trading infrastructure, tokenization, and digital asset services. This role requires someone who can translate complex regulatory requirements, especially under MiCAR and EU financial regulation, into practical product structures that enable innovation rather than slow it down. **Your Responsibilities** **Product & Legal Integration** - Act as the primary legal sparring partner for Product, Engineering, and Legal teams throughout the product development lifecycle - Assess regulatory, contractual, and compliance implications of new digital asset products from early concept to launch **Product Structuring & Frameworks** - Design legally sound product structures across custody, trading, tokenization, and related digital asset services - Build scalable legal frameworks supporting compliant product innovation **Contracts & Partnerships** - Draft, negotiate, and review agreements with key ecosystem partners including custodians, liquidity providers, infrastructure vendors, and API partners - Structure vendor, infrastructure, and liquidity frameworks supporting new product launches **Regulatory Strategy** - Translate MiCAR and broader EU regulatory requirements into clear legal guardrails for product teams - Provide pragmatic legal guidance balancing innovation with regulatory risk **Cross-Functional Collaboration** - Work closely with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and leadership teams to support new product initiatives - Contribute to governance frameworks enabling fast, compliant product development **Your Profile** - Qualified lawyer within a European jurisdiction (Cyprus qualification is a plus) - Strong understanding of CASP-regulated activities including custody, trading, tokenization, and structuring - Prior experience in FinTech, digital assets, or RegTech environments - Deep familiarity with MiCAR and EU financial regulatory frameworks - Experience structuring agreements with custodians, liquidity providers, vendors, APIs, and infrastructure partners - Ability to assess regulatory implications in fast-moving product environments - Business-oriented mindset balancing legal risk with product innovation - Comfortable working cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams - Structured, pragmatic, and solution-driven approach in complex regulatory environments - Fluent English **Why This Role** - Join a regulated European digital asset infrastructure player at the forefront of MiCAR-compliant crypto services - Work directly at the intersection of law, product strategy, and financial innovation - Shape how digital asset products are structured, launched, and scaled across Europe - Act as a strategic partner to product and engineering teams, not just a legal reviewer - High ownership in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment - Competitive compensation aligned with experience and market benchmarks - International team building the next generation of financial infrastructure **Ciklo Talent is looking forward to your application!
