Protocol Risk Engineer (DeFi Lending & Monitoring Systems)About the Role

We are looking for a
**Protocol Risk Engineer**
to design and build real-time monitoring systems for DeFi lending and collateralized protocols.

This is not a purely analytical role.

You will architect and implement monitoring infrastructure that detects:

- Stablecoin depegs
- Oracle failures and pricing deviations
- Liquidation stress and execution risk
- Utilization shocks and liquidity cliffs
- Parameter misconfigurations and cap saturation
- Cross-market contagion and dependency risk

You will work directly on live on-chain systems, building alert frameworks, data pipelines, and automated risk signals used by curators, protocols, and risk teams.

What You Will Build

- Real-time depeg detection systems (price deviation + liquidity depth monitoring)
- Oracle deviation monitors (Chainlink vs DEX TWAP vs custom feeds)
- Liquidation health dashboards (depth, slippage, keeper viability)
- Utilization and cap saturation alerts
- Collateral concentration and correlation monitors
- Vault exposure tracking systems
- Risk scoring engines across lending markets
- Automated alert pipelines (Telegram / Discord / Slack / Webhooks)

You will turn protocol mechanics into production-grade monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement on-chain risk monitoring infrastructure
- Build automated alert systems for market stress events
- Develop oracle deviation and failure detection logic
- Engineer liquidation stress indicators and execution viability metrics
- Create dashboards and data models for risk monitoring
- Maintain data pipelines ingesting on-chain events and oracle feeds
- Simulate stress scenarios and encode them into monitoring thresholds
- Support incident response with real-time data analysis
- Contribute to protocol-level risk reviews and post-mortems

Technical RequirementsCore Skills

- Strong understanding of DeFi lending protocols (Aave, Morpho, Compound, Silo, etc.)
- Deep knowledge of liquidation mechanics and collateralized borrowing
- Clear reasoning about LTV, LT, caps, utilization, and oracle dependencies

Engineering Stack (expected capabilities)

- Ability to write production-grade code (Python preferred; TypeScript/Node.js acceptable)
- Experience interacting with blockchain data (RPC, event logs, subgraphs)
- Experience building monitoring or alert systems
- Familiarity with:
- Web3 libraries (ethers.js / web3.py)
- Data pipelines (Postgres, ClickHouse, BigQuery, etc.)
- APIs and webhook systems
- Git version control

Data & Analytics

- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with Dune / Flipside / on-chain analytics
- Ability to structure risk metrics from raw blockchain data
- Experience building dashboards (Grafana, Metabase, etc. is a plus)

Nice to Have

- Experience building bots (Telegram, Discord alerts)
- Knowledge of oracle systems (Chainlink, Pyth, Redstone)
- Experience with keeper/liquidation systems
- Familiarity with time-series anomaly detection
- Understanding of MEV and execution constraints
