Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a  Senior Backend Engineer - Blockchain - this is a fully remote role for N America based candidates. Salary range: 180-220K USD base plus equity.   We are a stablecoin platform for builders. With us, developers can create their stablecoins in minutes by extending $M - M0’s superior digital-dollar building block, and customize attributes such as branding, compliance behaviors, and yield distribution mechanics. By extending $M into their own stablecoin, businesses can monetize their digital dollar use cases and maintain control over their money tech stack, while not being burdened by operational heavy-lifting. We are seeking an experienced  **Protocol Backend Engineer**  to join our growing team. In this role, you will enhance the growing set of $M Extensions projects, support partners' technical teams, improve existing products, and create and maintain comprehensive documentation. **Key Responsibilities:** - ​​Design and develop automated onchain minting and cross-chain stablecoin liquidity management solutions. - Deploy modern web applications using best practices to ensure security, compliance, security, and high availability. - Implement monitoring and alerting systems to deliver high-uptime, low-latency user experiences. - Mentor mid-level engineers, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and best practices. - Promote engineering excellence and agile practices to deliver projects on schedule and within budget. **Qualifications:** - 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or Rust. - Basic understanding of smart contract development for EVM-compatible chains, and optionally for non-EVM chains such as Solana, Sui, and others. - Advanced backend experience with proven history of building scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs. - Prior experience with the Fireblocks API is a plus. - Direct experience with DeFi applications, including lending, derivatives, AMMs, and stablecoins, with the ability to design and implement complex on-chain financial logic. - Practical experience deploying and managing applications across multi-region cloud platforms. - Proficient with CI/CD processes and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes). - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. **Skills & Attributes:** - Proactive problem solver: You have a forward-thinking mindset, actively identifies opportunities for improvement, and takes decisive action to resolve issues efficiently and effectively. - Collaborative communicator: You foster relationships with finance experts, blockchain specialists, back-end developers and designers. - Team-oriented mindset: You are always ready to help colleagues within and outside your team and seek assistance when needed - Delivery-focused: You have a clear understanding of the objectives and goals and direct your efforts towards achieving them. - High level of autonomy. **Compensation:** - Competitive compensation (base salary with equity/ token grant) commensurate with experience. **Benefits:** - Global team and flexibility: Join a truly global team with the flexibility to work remotely or from one of our hubs in NYC or Berlin. - Health and wellness: Enjoy comprehensive healthcare insurance coverage as well as a wellbeing allowance and gym membership to support your physical and mental health. - Customizable IT setup: Tailor your workspace with access to top-notch IT equipment. - Professional development: Benefit from an annual development budget to enhance your skills and grow professionally, including opportunities to participate in conferences and on-site company events worldwide.
