About the Role

About the Role You will produce the market research and analytical content that defines the firm's external voice and supports internal decision-making across listings, institutional sales, and executive positioning. The role splits between deep written research (token-level deep dives, macro reports, weekly market commentary, post-mortems on major events) and live commentary — appearing on Bloomberg, CNBC, podcasts, and at industry conferences as one of the firm's analytical voices. The benchmark is Coinbase Research, Kraken Intelligence, Galaxy Research, and Pantera's market commentary — not crypto Twitter takes. You will work closely with Listings on token diligence, Institutional Sales on custom research for major clients, Compliance on emerging regulatory trends, and the executive team on positioning during major market events. The role expects fluency across spot, derivatives, and on-chain markets — not just one — plus strong written communication and the comfort to defend non-consensus views in public. Compensation - Base: $140,000 – $220,000 USD - Annual bonus: 15–25% of base, tied to research output, impact metrics, and media reach - Equity + token grant (4-year vest, 1-year cliff) - Full medical, dental, and vision; 401(k) match; remote work stipend Key Responsibilities - Author and publish institutional-quality market research (weekly commentary, token deep dives, macro reports, post-event analysis). - Serve as one of the firm's analytical voices in media (TV, podcasts, print) and at industry events. - Support the Listings team with token-level diligence and post-listing performance tracking. - Produce custom research for institutional clients in partnership with Sales. - Track macro, regulatory, and competitive developments and surface decisions for the executive team. - Maintain internal models for valuation, on-chain flow analysis, and market positioning. Requirements - 5+ years in crypto research, sell-side equity research, or a quantitative analytical role at a buy-side firm. - Fluency across spot, derivatives, and on-chain markets. - Strong written communication and presentation skills. - Comfortable on camera and at the microphone. - Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, computer science, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
